My Own Story of Transformation

Once upon a time, I was a 37 year old registered nurse working in the NICU and new mom to twin boys. Trying to balance it all left me feeling exhausted and overwhelmed with little time or energy to take care of myself.

For most of my life I had identified as a healthy eater and active person, but deep down I knew that I wasn’t being honest with myself. Even if I was making healthy choices most of the time, I still had an unhealthy relationship with food, and suffered from a distorted body image and lack of control over my own habits.

While pregnant with my boys, I felt so empowered by all of the amazing things that my body was able to do during that time, but the months that followed their birth left me feeling exhausted and off course. I knew that I needed a change, and I knew that I needed to invest in myself in order to be the person I wanted to be for myself and my family.

Five months after their birth I committed to changing my life. With my focused shifted toward nourishing, loving and moving my body, I watched the weight fall off, and with every ounce of weight loss came more energy, motivation, and confidence than I had ever experienced!

Today, I am now 40 pounds lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight and have enough energy to not only care for my family of five, but also maintain my demanding career as NICU nurse without feeling overwhelmed!

Above all else, this commitment to change has helped me to reduce my personal stress and improve my relationships with others.

After undergoing this metamorphosis, I found great fulfillment in sharing my own experience and empowering others to change their own lives.
